I just finished Desdaemona and can I say WOW?!I refuse to give away anything in this review because it should be read and appreciated in all it's glory.
Jordan is seventeen and on the run. From what? We don't know. We do know that he helps find runaways and get them to go home. We know he as six fingers on his left hand. We know that he's human - or mostly so. And we know that he's been seventeen for a long time.
Desi, aka Desdaemona, is a girl. She's also a powerful daemon. She's forceful, she's tough, she's desperate. Why? She's searching for her sister. And somehow, despite Jordan's ability to keep ahead of whomever is chasing him, she managed to find him.
When Jordan agrees to help her find her sister, Fay, things get crazy.
What I loved about this book? I loved the POV - the beautiful descriptive narrative is captivating. I loved the world - where daemons, gods and other creatures move among us. I loved the storyline - its fast paced, it has amazing moments of deepness, it gives you breaks to digest what you've learned. And it has twists - some you see coming, some you don't. The characters are rich and their motives are as clear as they should be to tell the story properly.
In short this book is fantastic. And it ends with a WTF? moment that will leave you frantic to find out what happens next. Go. Buy. This is one for your bookshelves.

Very few books finish so strong. You think it's going to be a Nice read and then a good read and then it gets better!
I loved the story, the characters were wonderful and I could loose my self in the story feeling the struggle and heartache of the hero. I felt in love with him and was truly sad when the book ended I wanted to know more.......
Great Book excellent condition
Very intriguing vision of urban fantasy and in some ways a very dark book. Jordon has been running for years and is asked by Desi to help find her sister. However, nothing is as it seems and the ending comes as very much a shock.
The voice in this book is terrific. The action is fun and fast. There's a lot we don't know about either of the main characters, and that turns a comic style action book into something much deeper and more fascinating.
A new perspective on a world that ordinary people share with powerful and amoral creatures and elder beings. that it is difficult to tell the good guys from the bad guys is actually part of it's charm. The England we know is a very old mix of ancient and very modern concepts rubbing elbows in a fashion we yanks often find unnerving and astonishing. this world carries that to an extreme in a creepy and funny way.
I enjoyed this science fiction/fantasy book by an author new to me. It's a fun andexciting read and kept me enthralled right to the end. The characters are engaging and the author makes the reader like them very much. In fact I wrote to him to ask if there will be more books about these two, and he said, "yes."
I am so glad because I really do want to read more about them and wait for it eagerly. I really do hate to be stuck with a cliff hanger, which this book is not. This book has an acceptable ending, and doesn't leave the reader in suspense, which I do appreciate. With Desdaemona the reader just wants to meet the characters again for another adventure.
